Another Trip

It was a pretty day, so I packed up my wife and three of my handguns and off to the range I went. I first shot my .45 GM and did surprisingly well with it, off hand @ 15 yards. I had to shoot that close because another man on the range wanted to shoot that close, and he was there first. He had a Sig 220, so I got to shoot it some. I wasn't too enamored with it, as it almost felt like a double stack, and I'm used to the Colt.
I put it away and got my Black Hawk Convertible, installed the .45 acp cylinder and went back to shooting, with the added benefit of not having to chase brass. Again I did very well, and went back to the car and changed to the .45 Colt Cylinder. I was shooting a load of 14.5 gr. of 2400 with a 255 gr cast GC bullet, and putting them where I wanted them. My Uncle Mike's Holster broke, and I'm glad the revolver was in my hand and not holstered when it broke. I would really have been sick then.
I put that revolver back and got my .44 SRH with my standard load of a 245 gr SWC plain based bullet and 21gr. of 2400. It shot like a dream. I really had the gun gods smiling at me today. The man that I was shooting with asked me if I'd like to come over to the other range and shoot his Colt AR15 in 5.56...So I did. He had it set up with an expensive red dot and let me shoot a magazine full at a target @ 100 yards. It shot a bit high, and was a lot of fun to shoot. I better not try to get one, as they'd be difficult to kept fed...
All in all a good day, and I got to shoot my HANDGUNS!

Re: Another Trip

The young soldier asked me if I was a retired M/Gysgt or retired LEO. That's how good I was shooting.. I suppose as I was a former armed guard that might count.

It's always good when the guns cooperate with the eyes!
