Father's day range trip

After a quick few days back in California for my daughter's graduation we packed up the truck and said good-bye to my beloved 18 year old. It was a very difficult day and a emotionally draining drive of over 3000 miles.
We spent Friday and Saturday in the unpacking process, and are still really onluy half way done, but the place is liveable.

My 13 year old redhead knew that thisa was a hard Father's day for me since my eldest is over 3000 miles away. She said, "Poppi, for father's day I would like to take you to the range." Does she know me or what?

The two of us had the place to ourselves. She shot more round of 22 than her pevious 2 range trips combined. She seemed to enjoyit this time, whereas before she seemed to be doing it just for my sake.

I had a blast breaking stationary clays at 100 yards with my lever action 357 and practicing defence drlls with my snubby.

It was a much better Father's day than I expected.

Sounds like a great day, Cruelshoes. When they're 14 and running off at the mouth we can't wait until they're 18. Then when they are, we wish they were 14 again.

The possitive side of them getting older is, they have kids and we get to spoil them while they get payback!
