Finally got to the range yesterday and ran 55 rds through the LCR (50 rds 38 sp/5 rds +P). Great little shooter and was pleasantly surprised by it's accuracy. Target was at 7 yds and actually lobbed a few in the X although most fell in the 8/9 rings. Trigger was smooth and expect it to smooth out even more over time. I swear, if ya' put this thing on a scale you could balance it out with a hummingbird.

Good to hear you like it! If I get another snubby, it's on top of my list. Great front pocket equalizer. |

...I hope they sell millions of 'em...and half of those customers trade in 2" stainless Bodyguards...old ones...the used market in revolvers is skinny these days...

I like mine for pocket carry. I have the 38 Spl version and like the weight. The trigger is smooth and breaks clean and at 7 yards it give nice tight groups at POA. I carry Buffalo Bores 158 gr LSWC-HP/GC's in it and they chrony an average of 1,017 FPS out of the 1 7/8" snout (1,037 out of the 2 1/4" SP). Needless to say at 13 1/2oz the BB's are on the snappy side. When I touched the first one off they quickly got my attention.

Terry, That sounds like a very good load for my 3" model 65. The extra weight should keep it comfortable and controllable. I appreciate that you measured the velocity yourself as I trust your results. That is impressive from a short barrel. I do think I will avoid them for the airweights though. |

Remember +P and 357 in alum frames , gas cutting and melting the top strap is easy . The larger the cylinder to barrel air gap [over .001] is the faster the erosion . Using heavy bullets and no ball powders slows down the erosion . Steel frames gas cutting normally only goes so deep and stops .

the LCR is getting my attention more and more........ the example i got to range test around two years back was not a pleasant experience as it was the 38 spl model with laser grips and the 158 +P loads with those grips were almost intolerable. the 357 model.....just a tad more weight.........possibilities....and at least now ruger has more grip options available. |

Deputy: My 38 doesn't have the laser grips as I am not a fan of them. It has the stock hogues and with the +P stuff you have to hang on but once I got a couple downrange I started thinking it was fun. I can get all three bottom fingers on the grip although the little finger is about 50/50 between coming up under and to the front. |

good to know...........the laser grips on that first model created a situtation where a feller almost did not want to shoot the full cylinder from pain....
