First of all it wasn't a toy canon , it was a real 50 cal miniature canon . Which is a the same as a 50 cal pistol , but on wheels and not hand held . They have a touch hole for a match or fuse to be used to fire it , so it didn't accidently go off . I made 50 cal and 1" canons . I have a couple 50's left and one 1" barrel left I made , that need to be finish if anyone is interested they in brass , they are machined not casted ................

Exactly, we're on the same page here.
The kid obviously thought differently, or his education about firearms was sadly lacking.
