Is a great gun. I don't know what I was thinking when I listed it, but thank you, Danny, for not buying it! I just whacked 3 chipmunks with 45 Colt snake shot at about 6 yards. I never thought the stuff would be so potent, but it does a number on them! I also am shooting the Colt loads without the moon clips. The Colt brass head spaces perfectly without them. That's a huge plus imo! This gun can be loaded for everything from field mice, to bear. It carries real nice at 3.5" and is a great gun to keep the Hawks off my little dog. |

I am glad that you decided to keep it. It seemed like too good a gun to let go of. Would have bought it in a heartbeat if I had the cash. I hope it survives the next time you get a wild hare up your butt and think about getting rid of the beauty.

I often find myself thinking about the movies they won't make of me when I'm dead.

...oh, they'll make 'em, all right...they'll just have to twist and skew it...otherwise you'll come out looking like a blazing Patriot...and they can't have THAT....

Shawn, have you found someone to put the pin in the Redhawk yet?

7.5 grains of 231 under a 200 grain Dardas bullet is a delight to shoot and quite accurate, when you get ready. Don't know how accurate it will be out of that stunted barrel, but it's worth a try. Molon Labe Kim |

Been running 230's on top of 9 grains of Unique, Kim. They are some pretty good shooting loads. Danny, it's on the back shelf right now. To be honest I forgot all about it. I have the pin and just need someone to install it. I'll try to get it done before the snow flies. |

Yep, CCI. I don't know what kind of Hawks they are. There are at least 7 of them right in my area that like to hunt on a regular basis. I'd like to see them get a few of the cats. |
