First time out with the P89

Monday morning we went to the Izzak Walton range and ran 95 rounds through it. Started out with a box of Blazer Aluminium case jobs then 10 rds of WW target range load. then 10 rds of Rem.range loads and finished with 25 rds
of my 129gr. lead reloads. all fired and ejected as expected. All the factory empty's went about 5 or 6 ft. to the right and maybe back (rear) a ft or so.
My reloads must have been a little mild as some of the emptys went straight
up or just off the table.
Now for accuracy. Lets just say that this trip was just for feeling out the gun, trigger and sights. I thing the best way of describing the grouping was minute of backerboard. There were two other shooters using the range so I had to shoot all from the 25 yard line. If no one else is using the range we are allowed to walk up as close as desired to fire. Any way it was a fun morning and thats the name of the game.

Re: First time out with the P89

the "p" series are solid performers. about my main druthers about them are the sights. but one thing for sure is i think they are one of the best bang for the buck pistols.
