Primer find

I havent been able to get out the past few months to hit the gun shops. Due to my wifes health problems I'm pretty busy at home. My son phoned me this afternoon saying that he was at a gun show and saw several tables with primers. What kind you want?
So he brought me a thousand Winchester small pistol primers. No shipping,no hazmat or tax for $30. Not too bad I guess. I had been saving my last 500 until I acould get some at a reasonable price.
He was there for a good while and saw no ruger revolvers to speak of. No BH's or Vaquero's.

good find..................

you never know...........when the next round of panic or shortage will happen and primers are cheap enough for the most part.

They don't seem so cheap to me. When I first started buying them they where $10 bucks a thousand! And lead bullets where dirt cheap. The prices of everything have gotten out of control.

Re: Primer find

but the cheapest component in reloading is also the weakest link in the chain...

we could find powder and bullets but no primers. i still think that they have warp-speed the primers so much that QC has suffered.
