I think I am learning. You guys remember all that .38 Special brass I got on that deal? I traded a $300 Uberti for 1500 .38 cal bullets, 1500 .41 Cal bullets, and 1500 .44 cal bullets, 4 or 5 pounds of W296 powder, and what ended up being 10,000 once fired .38 Special brass. I loaded up the 1500 .38 bullets (been shooting them for a few weeks now), have kept 2000 total .38 Special brass. I have given away a couple thousand, sold a couple thousand, and I guy just bought what I had left for $200! There was about 3500 to 4000 left. (Dave, I still have yours boxed up and ready. Just let me know where to send it.) Working for that cheap fella I work for must be rubbing off on me. No, really, the guy I traded the gun to was glad to trade, and I have been very happy with this deal as well. I just wish I would have had the $300 and could have kept the gun too! Enough typing, time to go shoot!

You got one hell of a deal. What Uberti did you trade away? I think I might want a Uberti. |

I might pick one of them up if I find one priced right.

Dave, the one I had shot great. I hate to admit it, but it shot better than the several Vaqueros I have owned. (Before Snuffy chimes in here, I have never owned a New Vaquero, these where the originals.) I doubt seriously if it would hold up as well as the Ruger, but parts for any single action army should fit just fine, and those parts are easy to get.
