went to the super wally-world the other day for grocery shopping......well, actually the wife went grocery shopping while i study the gun and fishing sections. Anyways, i took notice that they appeared to be stocking more reloading stuff than usual. Mostly RCBS from the looks of it (now that is what i call "going green actually a nice spread of the basics. What was alarming though was the powder. Mostly Alliant and every jug was over $23/pound. I think i might check with them the next time there and see if they will special order kegs. do wish a few other of the big chain stores would carry reloading stuff....but my area is still limited. Sure wish Academy Sports would dive in. They have become the No. 1 place in these parts for firearms and ammo amongst other things but they will not touch reloading. |

The Wally-Worlds around here don't stock any reloading supplies. Guns and ammo, yes, but nothing for reloading. When I went out west a few years ago, I was really excited when I seen the Wal-Marts had primers and powder!

wow i wish my local walmarts would stock reloading stuff. I have an hour drive to purchase affordable powder, bullets and primers. My local sells the stuff but at a very inflated price....

No reloading stuff in our Wallmarts either. In fact out of the three, one doesn't even sell guns. The place has gone to the dogs (or maybe illegal aliens) since ole Sam died.

I heard that the super stores will all be selling rifles again. None of ours sells any reloading stuff though. We have a lot of Walmarts nearby and only one sells rifles right now.

hey.................with gas hitting $3.90/gal.................wally-world chinese stuff is starting to look purty good............... the wal-mart guns around here are the bread and butter basics......marlins, mossbergs and rugers for the most part.......... the items i refuse to compromise on however are cloths and groceries.........i read the labels if questionable. i still have a bad taste in my mouth from that last jar of dollar store peanut butter.........a product of argentina......... and the last Dickie work shirt i bought was $23 for just a plain long sleeve work shirt...........my USA wrangler shirts............lets just say they have become wish items for Christmas and special occasions.... i am going to be forced to buy a new shirt and tie here purty quick.....got a friends wedding to go to next month. I've spotted a really nice tie at the local store but its $30............but it sure is purty. a light shimmering blue paisley pattern.......i'm thinking a white shirt and dress wranglers ought to do........ hate to think i'm getting fashionable in my old age.......... |

Nothing is cheap anymore. Not price wise anyway. I buy the $14 Wranglers from Walmart and the usually rip out before the fade out. Deputy, I refuse to dress nice, so it keeps me from getting invited to things like weddings. |

Guess i had best rent saturday night fever and brush up............. |
