Food Saver

I am planing to make and sell jerky this year and wanted a vacuum packaging system. Found what I wanted in the Food Saver. An after thought on this this little jewel is that I can now vacuum pack ammo just in case its needed

We bought one before we retired in 03 and brought it to AK with us in the summer of 03. We used it to package about 150# of either salmon or halibut filets that we shipped home. It held up for the two years it took us to eat up all that fish.

Is there a reason to vacuum pack ammo?

No risk of corrosion, dampness, or spillage. I would imagine it would keep ammo the same way it keeps food.

I've never heard of anyone storing it that way. Whatever moisture is trapped inside it just that -trapped.

I would not trust shootin' it. Just to be safe why don't you send it to me and I will properly dispose of it?

Most the ammo I loaded it is in case the SHTF or they banned it . My M-1 Garand is 1st gun out of safe with ammo box of 308 loaded in clips . I can't ever remembering missing a 12"x12" steel plate at 200 yrs off hand .
