It's a Lee Classic Turret. It was my number one press until I got the LNL AP. But I still get plenty of use from the turret since I don't feel the need to spend money and buy everything I already have. I love using the Pro Auto Disk with either the disks or the Adjustable Charge Bar. Once I figured out the oddities of the setup it has been spotless ever since. I even bought one for my cousin to use.

Started off w/ just 9mm since I shoot a ton of it, then decided .45 was too expensive buy and started reloading .45 ACP. Then decided .380 was too expensive, out came the .380 dies. I think .38 spl dies will be next on my order list.

I load or should I say I'm set up for everyting I own except for 25 Auto and 380 Auto. I happened to stumble on a Baby Browning for a good price that's why I even have a 25auto. I loaded tons of ammo way back when I got to shoot often. Since I very seldom get to shoot I haven't loaded for anything in several years. When I took my CCW class I used some of my 38spl reloads I loaded in the early 80's. If I buy a new gun and it's a caliber I don't already have the first thing I do is buy a set of dies and shell holder if needed. My primers and powder are quite old and I would probably have to get atleast new powder. My 38 spl's I used for my class shot like I had just loaded them.

Beerman reloading is fun and enjoyable. Not to mention the money you save. My only suggestion is read and learn about it before you jump into it. Better still have some one with experience show you along with reading.

95% of my reloading equipment is RCBS. I have a few odd pieces of Lyman and other brands.

RCBS is like Ruger, they have excellent customer service. Reloading isn't difficult but you have to give it your undivided attention. One mistake and you could have a disaster on your hands causing personal injury or destroying your gun.

You can't drink beer while reloading. Or at least I don't cause I don't want to make any mistakes. No beer, no music, no TV, lock the door and start reloading.

Makes a new meaning to lock n load.

Does anyone pay any attention to the humidity when they reload? Right now its at 44% in my room. I try to wait for it to drop below 20%.

I've never paid attention to it. I guess if I ever get around to some match grade .308 loading then I might crank up the A/C but for most range fodder I don't think about such things.

I was hot to get a Ruger Alaskan in 454 Casull when they first came out but when Ruger brought out the 4" Redhawk I went with that in 44 Mag. I had gotten the dies for the Casull and the Colt but sold the 454 dies. I got them both on fleabay and the colt looked unused so I hung on to them. Someday a 45 blackhawk will magically appear.

Recently got 38-40 but no powder or bullets for it yet.
I'm waiting for TGR to come over and show me how he does it.
I use the Rockchucker and RCBS powder measure and either RCBS or Lee dies mostly.

Also load 12ga with a Mec Jr.
Does the 38-40 have the tapered necks on them?

You don't live in Seattle Wa ....... I live in Tx where it is semi-desert and 20% inside with the AC on is almost impossible . I normally charge all my case straight from powder measurer to case with cap on measurer and seat the bullet in each case after I charge each case , and case is in the loading block with primer end of case is sticking up before I charge them . So humidity not a problem . It's 20% outside and 35% inside ...... now you firgure that out .

I don't live in Seattle but I do live in King County which is the county Seattle is in. Sometimes it will rain or drizzle for weeks at a time. Since relative humidity is just that -relative to the temperature, I load when its cooler because 20% at 40 degrees has less moisture than 20% at 70 degrees. I have a dehumidifier which can bring the humidity down to 20%.
