Chance and Sheepdog...Put the drool guard on your keyboard.

This was my Grandfathers gun. He bought it new back in 1959. He shot a lot of deer with it back when .22 Mags were still legal to use. Dad has it now, and I borrowed from him to get some pictures of it for you all.

1959 Model 61 Winchester .22 Mag, Prentiss 4x31 Scope, with Williams adjustable mounts.

At 50 yards she will still run cloverleaf groups off the bench.

Re: Chance and Sheepdog...Put the drool guard on your keyboard.

It's one of the best little .22 Mags I have ever shot. I killed a lot of squirrels with it growing up. It's been shot, the firing pin has been replaced at least twice that I know of.

As far as how it looks...well Dad and I are both just as big of sticklers for gun maintenance as Gramps was. I don't think you'll find to many rusty guns in either of our cabinets.

You sure know how to fire my jets. That is really a sweet looking Winchester, about the nicest pump I have ever seen.

I figured you guys would like it. I'm going to run some ammo through her in the next week or so, then put back in the safe at dad's house. She deserved to have a few photos taken though.

I really appreciate the pics of the older guns you post. Those guns are classics. Keep it up.

I have been working on an old Ted Williams/Winchester 30-30 that begining to look pretty sharp. Will get some before and after pics taken and posted.

No problem Brian...Were all gun nuts here. And what would a gun forum be with out a little eye candy once in awhile.

Chance, I love the old Ted Williams stuff, how neat was it that Ball Player would put his name on Firearms. I bet you won't see Manny Ramirez doing that anytime soon.

Please post the pics Chance!

sheepdog,
You know what they say"The mind is first to go"
I always say the mind is "usually" the first to go, although "sometimes" it is the second thing to go

Johngoboom,
That is a sleek looking pump!
