A lot of them were made with a reversible firing pins to go from rim to center fire . 90% of the rim fires can be converted center fire real easy and it don't seem to effect the value to collectors , and if it is done right you should convert it back with the original firing pin being reinstalled again . The ballard I posted earlier was a center fire converted to a rim fire .

Harry Pope in like 1902 made a 22LR barrel which was drilled off center to convert a center fire gun to a rim fire with no mod needed to gun . Those guns bring a super high prices and are very , very rare .

Re: Hopkins & Allen .22LR

I know we have been kicking this around for over a year TGR, but if I actually get off my rear and send you a pic of the Model 92 firing pin can you tell me if it can be converted?
