Stevens Crack Shot No. 26

Found this Stevens No 26 Crack Shot at Cabela's saturday. Been looking at it for a few months and the price finally got to where I took it home. This 1913 vintage rifle is in fantastic shape. Probably because it is .32 rimfire which makes finding ammo a real job. Bore is shiney, wood has a couple of small dings and one rubbed spot and the steel shows almost no pitting. Good addition to the boys rifle collection. Original price $4.45.

Re: Stevens Crack Shot No. 26

I've got a couple of boxes of ammo that I paid 60 and 75 bucks for. Got it for the Marlin model 92 but at those prices haven't been able to bring myself to shoot the stuff. Gun shows and the auctions are about the only places it is available and the auctions are totally rediculous with the gun shows being just regularly rediculous.

I have 4 of the 22 boys rifles plus this newest .32. We shoot all of them and I plan on taking the .32 out Fri or Sat and put a few of those very expensive bullets down the bbl. Oops, not saturday since there's a gun show.

Re: Stevens Crack Shot No. 26

Been tryin' to quit Johnny but just can't kick this old gun thing.

Most of those links are kinda old Sheep. Seems like all the Navy Arms stuff was pretty well sold out a couple of years ago. Did find a couple of boxes on Auction Arms or Gunbroker sometime back but they were going for a hundred bucks plus. I may just take this to the gun show this weekend and see what I can get for it.
