Re: pump 22

...last of the best Remington made...I think it was still called a Fieldmaster...good lookin' and good shootin'...think it took shorts, longs, and long rifles...I had the 552...wish I'd bought the 572 instead!!! The BDL was the Cadillac!!! Great find...great heirloom...

Re: pump 22

Yes I thought so picked it up for $275.00 Just a nickles worth of surface rust on the muzzle cleaned that up in seconds. And yes it does take short longs long rifle. You wouldn't believe the wood on this rifle nice very nice.

Nice find, Snuffy.

You seem to only get the kind of guns that I don't get from you. You'll have to look for the kind that I do.

Re: pump 22

...I seriously doubt if BH has ever seen an RG!!! I saw a newer version of the old RG10 in the pawnshop with $100 on it and I laughed at him...next day it was gone...some folks will buy anything...

Re: pump 22

...they only hold .22 short...so the genius I took that one off had whittled on .22 LR so it'd fit...resulting in about a 20gr bullet...not exactly Col. Cooper's choice...

Got to shoot that little jewel today had a blast after a few adjustments of the rear sight. Lots of fun and cheap to shoot too.

He had a lot to do with the development of modern pistol combat techniques. He was a big advocate of the 1911 in .45 ACP in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Advocated using the Weaver Stance and training to use the sights in rapid combat shooting.

Col Jeff Cooper was the man with a handgun and my Hero . 90% of the things I know about handguns came from that man .
