BH I would highly recomend the BSA Sweet 223 scope for your new .223 Rem H&R as you may know those package deals with the scopes, get the low end stuff. Just an FYI on the matter. |

Yeah the scope sucks, but it'll do for now. I actually have a better 3-9x40mm at home that I may end up using on it.

I like pissing in the wind. Those scopes look expensive. How many of you guys use one? |

Now BH be sure to use JB Bore Cleaner on a patch before you shoot your new 223. It will work like shooting 100 rounds thru the barrel to break them in. As far as scopes go, I highly recomend the AO on a scope for certain calibers such as the 204 Ruger, 223 Rem, 6mm, 22-250, 243 Win and 25-06 when long range applications are going to be used. These help in clear focal adjustment that you just don't get from a scope that magnifies at the butt end. I also like turrets on top, so that like the BSA Sweet 223 once sighted in, you can actually watch your horizontal retical rise as you turn your turret. SWFA Outdoors for $69.99 and other places for as high as $147.89 Mine is a 3x12x40mm AO but the one shown is a 6x18x40mm AIO http://swfa.com/BSA-Sweet-223-Riflescopes-C49.aspx |

That is the way to go..I wont buy a scope without it since I'm 1/2 blind. You get a clear view no matter the range up close or far out.. adjustable optics |

Read the paste tell you what the AO is for .. http://www.larrywillis.com/tip015.html[/quote:3mt92elp] Yes and No. If your AO is on 25 yards and then you want to shoot at 100 yards you will find no matter how much adjustment you make on the shooters magnification end you make it will not make a clear picture. Once you adjust the AO up front to 100, then you have a clear focal picture. |
