Re: Assault weapons

I do not have any "assault weapons" either, as the true meaning of an assault weapon is a select fire gun, one that will fire full auto. But, I do have a couple ARs.

And nobody is gonna take them away from me. Or, should I say, to quote Charlton Heston, "From my cold, dead hands!"

Re: Assault weapons

I assume it all depends upon what era we lived in !
During the early to mid 20th. Century, this was My "Assault Weapon"!!

Now, it's My Deer Rifle.

So, . . . I guess that would make this "My Assault Weapon" now ??!?

Re: Assault weapons

To Me there are no assult weapons. Assult means to attack no weapon has ever assulted anyone until there was a person behind it.

+1 Snuffy

Ya know, something IS happening to me. I'd even like one of those evil looking black rifles. Probably would knock me over though. I gotta get outta here and find my vacuum. I'm sure I'm sick!

Re: Assault weapons

That's the really neat thing about them Natalie...they are made to have very little recoil. They really are fun to shoot.

Here you go, Natalie....this is my 10/22 Ruger that I just built (basically, changed the stock). .22 cal. doesn't kick, and is loads of fun to shoot.....

Re: Assault weapons

Sheepdog, that gun that Wizard has stands alone so you need a table or counter or something - am I right? Someone would need to be standing in the right place in order to shoot him - that's only if the SHTF. Seriously though, could I take something like that to the range and shoot it? BH's gun looks like I could handle it size wise but it could still have plenty of kick and I'm lightweight compared to you guys.

BTW, Sarah Palin is my new hero as of this afternoon. She's a shooter and a mom and she's smart and gorgeous.

Re: Assault weapons

...no, it's light and easy to hold...you'd love it...could carry it anywhere....either Wiz's or BH's will be so easy to shoot--absolutely zero recoil...little noise...gotta get Danny to take you out with a .22 rifle...
