I never had Worchestire sauce . I like Worcester sauce I only got to work on the ones with ejector and they are JUNK . Polishing chambers , polishing ejector tracks and installing heavier spring to get a fired case out of guns . I think I still have a new hammer in my parts inventory for the ones that break . Plus you can only drive the pins in and out of frame a few times before they loosen up . So disassembling the gun many time for cleaning and doing trigger job is not a good idea . There is a lot gunsmiths that won't work on them . I hear people on this forum think S&W and Glocks are junk and I don't . So everyone a opinion . H&R has upgrade there that rifle , A split bolt like TC and screws in the frame would make another plus in my book . Pete got a good deal on his gun

iron sights first and see how it prints.the sights have a fine bead to them and are made by marbles.I have about 80 rd's loaded up that will give it a good workout.

Re: 45 colt

...what range would you hope for with that large a bullet??? I'd think 200 max...when I think longer, seems the bullet's too slow...I do love the idea of revolver/rifle eating the same lunch, though...

Re: 45 colt

I wouldn't think even 200. Maybe 100 yards. The short barrel and heavy bullet should put it in the dirt pretty quick.

Re: 45 colt

100 yards max.my goal is to find a load that works both in the bisley and the H&R.the bisley likes my 250 gr lfn with 9.0 gr unique with the 5.5" barrel I would guess that close to 900 fps + or -.it will be interesting to see what the velocity of H&R would be with the 20" barrel and the 1/16 twist.
this is going to be a blast as its cheap to shoot casting my own bullets and just finding the sweet spot.

Re: 45 colt

...one track mind but that'd have been a defense choice for me back in those days...not a hunting rifle...a a great step up from black powder!!!

Re: 45 colt

they also chamber this rifle in 500 S&W and 454 so it can take it if someone wanted to hunt with it.for pigs I'll use the 444 encore it has a recoil pad .

Re: 45 colt

Nice pics, great looking little gun. Someday I will get a little .45colt rifle to partner up with my accusport bisley. I think I would rather have a lever gun though.
