I'll get it degreased and take some pics tomorrow.then try and find a load the bisley and the H&R likes.

Re: 45 colt

That's nice. I saw one about 6 months ago and wanted it bad, but it was too pricey at the time. Good score.

Re: 45 colt

The H&R are a cheap gun and not worth more then $200 . They have a spring ejector and you will need a cleaning rod to get a hard to remove case out of gun . They are not designed to be take apart and triggers are bad too . For a little bit more money you can get a TC Encore and have the best . The ad said it's a 45 long Colt and will shoot 45 Colts too

Re: 45 colt

Pete, the gun was going for about $475 if I remember correctly. I know it was real close, or just over $500. I thought it was a bit steep for that gun. It did feel real good in hand though.

I know I'm A****** and there is nothing you can say or do to change that fact But the gun is not worth what they are asking for it . It's a good gun to take fishing and hope the boat sinks . I've repaired 6 of them in Tn in the last 8 yrs that the ejector won't work .

Re: 45 colt

I when over to Tx Pete house and seen his gun . They made a lot improvement over the junk I work on . It is good to see a company build a better gun and not make it cheaper . They done away with that ejector system that didn't work and the hammer looks machine not cast anymore , which broke and won't weld . And it has nice looking checkering which is the 1st H&R I've seen done from the factory in the one's after the 60's . Now if they would put screws in it and not drive out pins I would like it better ...

Re: 45 colt

Now it's official, Pete, you got a deal.

Gunrunner, don't anger him and then go to his house.
