I'm really surprised that they went with the GI style guide rod system with this. I'm glad they did, but figured they'd go full length 2 piece insisting that it improves accuracy. It doesn't as far as I can tell.

I agree Shawn. No need for a guide rod. My Colt has one, and I can't see it is any better than a 1911 without one.

I removed the one that came in Jen's Springfield loaded model. Tearing them down sucks with them too.
