Ruger 9mm's

Do all of them use the same magazines? I mean all of the P series guns. I picked up a P95 today. It came with 3 magazines, but if I run into a deal on more I wouldn't be opposed. I wanted a high cap 9mm for the truck and the Ruger's were cheap. I got it for $250 OTD. They had some P89's, I think they were, too. They also had the SR9 and SR9C there used. I just wanted a cheap one for the truck so got the 95.

Re: Ruger 9mm's

It has the safety, but it's just a de-cocker. It took me a few minutes to figure that one out.

It's a blued slide. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Re: Ruger 9mm's

Everyone needs a P95 or two.

I need to get some of the Mec-Gar 17 rounders for mine, I'm still running the 15 round mags.

Brady asks, why do you "need" more than ten?

yes......for the most part
.the p85mkII
p89
p93
p94
p95
all use the same magazines........there was a slight design change with the orginial p85 and the mkII mags with a serial number cut-off but for the most part they are innerchangable as well. i think it effected the castrated 10 rd mags more than anything else.........had something to do with the thickness of that plastic base plate on the castrated mags and lock-up. mecgar mags from what i have seen work the full range of p guns very well.........

if you need more mags here is where i got mine...... http://www.cdnninvestments.com/ruger.html

i got the factory new stainless LE mags.......but those restrictions no longer apply (unless obma wins a 2nd term) so you can get them as well.

...if you decock and the lever springs back up...it's a decocker...and out of production
...if you decock and the lever stays down...it's a safety model...and you have to push it back up for first shot...
...I love the decockers...like grabbing a revolver...just shoot it...I have had the safety on a safety model go partially on while it was IWB...not good...

Re: Ruger 9mm's

I have to push the safety up for the first shot. Although decocking it and then taking the safety off makes it a DA first shot and should be as safe as the LCP or LC9.

Re: Ruger 9mm's

I'm a little shocked that 9mm mags are so much. I paid $25 each for my Ruger 20 round mini mags.
