Re: Update on P250

I considered buying a Glock once......then, I handled a few.....did not like the way any of them felt.....I even fired a couple of mags through a friend's glock, once......handed it back to him and said I'll stick with my P226.....but that's just me.....

Re: Update on P250

Well I traded the mil-Spec for a G19 tonight. I think it's a 2nd generation, but I'm not sure. No rail, or finger grooves. I'll post pics and a report tomorrow.

It conceals much better than the Ruger.

Re: Update on P250

I think the G19 is the most loved Glock out there from written accounts and ones people have given on youtube. One of the admins on the Taurus forum has put 225K rounds through his over the years with minor maintenance. I can see why they're so well liked. I'm kind of fond of my G22 though.

Both of mine are 2nd gen. First gen just didn't feel right and I don't like like the finger grooves.

It is until I put the .357 Sig barrel in it. They have .22LR conversion kits for most Glocks now too but they're kind of expensive. I'd just rather shoot my 22/45.

Re: Update on P250

The 40 and the 357 Sig are expensive to shoot. That's why I went with the 9mm. Someone in the shop was saying that he bought a compact 40 Glock and the bought a 9mm barrel and a 9mm magazine and now can shoot both. That would be ok, if I could turn my 9mm into a 40 for cheap. He said it cost him about $115. Does that sound right?

Re: Update on P250

i think you can convert going down in case size such as a 40 to a 9 in glock........but not vise-versa.

the sig 250 will convert either direction i believe but at much greater expense.

lone wolf does many of the glock conversions

Re: Update on P250

The 250 conversions are expensive. It's cheaper to buy a new gun. The P250 is under $400 and the conversion kits are over $300. For a few bucks you can have a whole new gun. With the 45 conversion you have to buy the kit, plus a new wider body for the slide.

Yep, price wise that's about right as far as the barrel and magazines. Like Deputy mentioned though, you can convert down from a Glock 40 caliber to a Glock 9mm but you can't convert up from the 9mm to the .40 S&W. If you want two-in-one then the Glock 23 is the .40 S&W equivalent to the Glock 19 9mm and almost identical. Then you'd just need a 9mm conversion barrel. Since you want the 9mm, you could leave the Wolf barrel in all the time and just put in the factory .40 on the odd occasion you wanted to shoot something different.

Cheaper than Dirt is where I got my Lone Wolf .357 Sig barrel for the Glock 22 but I need to pick up a 9mm barrel also.
