I got the new plastic guide rod in yesterday and put the gun back together. We took it out and put some more Blazer and some HP's thru it last night. It worked flawlessly. The gun is a great little shooter, and Jen likes the fit, balance and the way it handles. She's able to keep it on target and make quick follow up shots. I put some more thru the P95 also. It handles the HP's very well. I'm using the Winchester STHP's. It's the best that my local had. On a side note, I'm thinking seriously about getting a compact Glock. I've been carrying the Ruger full time and am thinking a compact Glock or XD, and I'll keep the Ruger in the truck as I originally planned. |

I don't remember the weight. They are not +P+. They may be +P's, but I'm not even sure about that. I just read that the +P+ loads are pretty much dead, and the +P loads are hotter these days. Don't know how true that is.

...not very true... http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com/HiPo ... hester.htm ...the above article by Steven Camp...but not a lot of difference...Rem Golden Saber 124 is supposed to be a good stopper, too... ...here's a layman's study...9mm ain't the pussycat it used to be... http://frag.110mb.com/ |

Lone Wolf has aftermarket barrels for the 9mm and .357 Sig for around $100 apiece and you'd just need some new Glock 9mm mags for that chambering. You can run the .357 Sig ammo out of the .40 S&W magazines. Just a thought. |

I had thought that all Glock mags would work with all Glocks before. I'm seeing now that isn't the case. Any problems reloading with the Glocks? They have supported barrels, correct? They are also rated for all +P ammo? |

...they used to prohibit reloads...I don't know if they void the warranty for using them...might be worth checking...I qualified with the G19 a few times...it's easy to shoot...I just can't make it past the "safe action" trigger...if I carried in a holster OWB all the time...I'd consider one...I don't think you'd beat the P95 for concealed carry...the Glock's different...but not better...

most gun makers will warn agains reloads. glocks have suposedly tightened up chamber dimensions but that squirrely rifling they use from my understanding is still not lead friendly................ but i still have known people to reload with lead on glock 21's.........but they ain't as high of pressure as 9mm and especially 40's...... |

...this is what they say about reloads... "4.No liability whatever can be accepted if inexpertly manufactured or inexpertly filled ammunition is used. All liability whatever is excluded in the event of these instructions not being observed" |

Every gun company has the reloadwarning. I don't care about that, I just wanted to know if it was possible. I wouldn't load lead bullets for the 9mm. The jacketed HP's are omly $13 per 100 at my local and the brass could be reused a ton of times, so reloading would be cheap. I can also shoot blazer aluminum for $11 a box. So how about +P loads? I'll look into it when I get a chance, but haven't had time today. Sheepdog, the G19 is thinner than the P95 and lighter, with a slimmer grip. It'll carry concealed much better. |

the grass is always greener on the other side.................... and gun nuts can always justify another purchase.............even if it means taking out the calipers to measure....... the pitfalls of gun ownership......the never ending search for the perfect weapon for the specific occasion. it can drive a man into the poor house if you let it!!! you know..........buying a gun is an awful lot like buying a vehicle. sub-compact compact mid-size full size 4x4 18 wheeler economy horsepower factory equipment sporterized family racing new/used.............. but the difference is gun owners want to cover all bases......from a trip to the grocery store to work to recreation to vacation to bar-b-que's...... |

I have a few guns that will be with me forever. I hope anyway. Some I have I could trade or sell today and not care. I don't have a primary CCW right now, and haven't decided what it will be. I'm thinking the G19 would fit the bill. There are a few reasons why. Do I need it? Nope. But boy do I want it. |

...the P95 is 1.2 in W...the Glock 1.18...not a lot of difference...can't find weight on P95 readily, but the Glock is prolly lighter...it's shorter both ways...and it was easy to shoot...a lot of the guys/glas in the classes never shot a handgun and did well...my wife shot a 242 out of 250 and she'd never fired a handgun...I hope you're happy with it and you never shoot yourself in the ass...

I haven't got it yet. It's not any easier to shoot myself with it than with the P95. Or the XD's. Or a 1911 cocked and locked. Or....
