ruger 9mm "P" series magazines........

ran across this old thread with some good detail about the various changes in the 9mm magazines over time involving the "p" series such as the p85, p89, and p95.

so if you cabbage into an old p85 or p85 mkII, or you are looking at used magazines at a gun show..........this info just might help....

http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB/viewtop ... highlight=

as a blanket rule.....more or less........if you have a p95 or a p89, factory mags with plastic floor plates are what i would look for.........

old magazines with witness holes on the back..good to go for the p85

on a side note.......we confiscated a like new p85 mkII along with a sawed off shotgun.......that stainless mkii had a set of them uncle mike grips.........sure did like the feel...............

alas, evidence is evidence..... i'm gonna break it off in this feller as he is a 3 time loser and felon in possession of a firearm.

...were those the thin slabs that are finely checkered??? they are fine grips and don't hamper concealment...too bad they've quit making them...

Re: ruger 9mm "P" series magazines........

...I called 'em...the only one they have is for the P85 in the link...it's not compatible with the P89 or P90...the one that fits both of them, they're showing NIS and don't know if they can/will get anymore...I've tried before to get through to Uncle Mike's and they've buried any phone numbers under a pyramid in Egypt...they don't want to talk!!! Dep, if I can find any, I'll snag you a pair...
