Finally had a chance to fire the P90 for the first time this morning. I had one ruger mag with PMC fmj and two 10 round aftermarket mags loaded with 189 gr. lswc. No fte or ftf with any of the mags or ammo. The PMC factory loads were about all this old mans wrist will take. Cases flew about 15 ft. to Riight and back. The lead SWC were my own reloads using 5.6 grains of Unique. Those empty's only went about 8 ft. Using a B27 (I think) target I had all the shots in the body area but no really good groups. The gun seemed to be shooting low and to the right. So I came home loaded up some more ammo . Forgot to mention ,firing was at 25 yards. Well hey ,old eyes ,trifocals and strange gun , I'm lucky to hit the paper. |

In my experience, the P90 is one of the most accurate .45s I have ever shot. Very fine handgun. Why Ruger seen fit to discontinue them is beyond me.

If you can put all of your shots into the target at 25 yards, you're doing fine. I had a P90 for a bit and it was a great gun.

p90 is a great weapon.........my main gripe about the ruger "p" series is the issue sights as i think they could be better. otherwise, one very tough and reliable pistol and if i was in the market for a da/sa 45 the p90 would stand above the rest. |

I think the longer you shoot it, the more you will like it. I carry one for a CCW. The reason is its easy and fun to shoot, Reliable, and Accurate. I reload, and have never had a ftf or Jam of any kind with it. I prefer mine over any other Pistol Ruger makes, including the 1911.
