I walked into the bore house and Bob pointed to the wall and said it said your name when you walked in. So your behind me this time pal. I was going to get a holster rig made by a fellow shooter for the blackhawk, now I will seeif he can made some mag pouch's for her as well. The Bore house mags for her 30 rounders and has a great score for ammo and bullets and brass as well. So all is good. Christmas came early for me. |

I really like my 30 carbine rifle and hand gun, enjoy! If you can find them try some Hornady 100 GR SJ in the Blackhawk. |

I now know how to field strip my M1 Carbine, let me tell you this little lady sure needed a bath too. Even cleaned the gas piston, talked with a pal of mine and he saidthe nut needs to be tight. He has a wrench but didn't know where its at right now. But he did tell me I could use a punch, so I used my punch set I got from Brownell's. That little brass punch set is worth its weight in gold at times. She is all clean and tight where she needs to be tight lol. I am tell ya'll ifshe was a puppy she would be all over me. I have a lot of guns and most of you know but this one sure has taken to me and I have taken to her. Her with the Blackhawk, great combo. I have to wait until deer season is over until I can shoot her, but I can wait well maybe I can. When is deer season over????? |

Good move...th' 30 Carbine is a GREAT little weapon, IMHO... There's just something cool, classic n' "all american" about them. Hope you get to shoot it soon...and, let us know what you think afterwards! |

The stock is has been linseed oiled , which was common to do if it was going to be carried in the jungles and has all the marking on it . |

It seems to get flatter with age. Everything else gets rounder. |
