interesting how the wheel goes round.............. the "assault rifles" were born out of WW II when they figured that a full power cartridge was not needed as engagement distances were avg 300 yds or less..... so the mausers, enfields, 03's, and garands with their powerful rds and long distance sights were obselete on the battlefield. so the enemy is staying out of AR range.......here comes the old m14 back into service. |

Just read the article last night. The M14 is a great weapon. I would like to have kept mine, but I always need something new. |

When you need to reach out and touch someone, nothing says hello like a 7.62x51 round by a proficient shooter be they soldier or marine. |

The military is always wanting one weapon to do the work of 4. The M4 probably comes closer to doing that than any other we have had. But, no gun can be a battle rifle, sub-machine gun, assault rifle, and sniper rifle at the same time!!!

They also never issue the bat bombs either. Lets see wheren't you saying the other day your shoulders weren't going to let you make a full match? So I wonder how your going to shoot your tanker with shoulder problems? Doesn't sound like you will shoot more than one clip if that. |

I raise the gun up high as I can get it and then I move my head down to get a sight picture . That is why I didn't shoot my new guns or go to the last Marble Falls SASS match . I tryed dry firing the night before and couldn't get pass 3 stages |
