I don't always, but when I do, it slaps me around like I owe it money... |

When I had my C&R I bought a lot of mil-surps that I may start selling off. I've had them for at least five years so I don't think they could say I was in the business of buying and selling. | |

I am with 303Lith on this. I have more AKs than SKSs but that is by luck. I am kicking my own backside for passing up a "paratrooper" short barrel last year. (Norinco) They handle better than an AK for me, the safety is much more ergonomic for me an they are more accurate, AND cheaper to boot. What's not to like? BTW don't bother with the extended mags, waste of time an don't trust them. |

I'll be the first to admit I don't know anything about the AK's or the SKS's. My wife's late husband had a SKS. All I've done to it is wipe it down and put it in the safe. Not long ago I was talking to a email buddy about it. Like I said I know nothing about them. Mine has Russian SKS on the receiver. It has stamped I believe it's KBI. It has a blade type bayonet. He told me he never knew some were Russian but this one has it plain as day. They stamped numbers in the wood stock.Looks pretty crude. The metal looks decent. |
