AK or SKS ???

Started out shooting a Romanian AK that i got for a Friend Mike ,,Who died before he ever shot it.My old boss Paul got it and i laid eyes on it for the first time yesterday.So i got to do the first 30 rounds down it.Mike loaded the clips and never got to be able to empty them.We had a blast and it was dead on too.

Then we got out a few of mine today to show Jim how to shoot the 2 different rifles and loading tips.

I can't make up my mind yet..Another 300 round from the locker PLEASE.

You can't go wrong with any of them! I'll take one SKS and one AK, please.

Looks like a nice piece of land to make a set-up like Hickok45 has.

both are great weapons and will do what they were designed to do.........

given a choice, i'd take the SKS. i really like that short barrel "paratrooper" model with the std fixed 10 rd mag. It never really existed as an acutal military model from what i understand.......and was actually a marketing ploy by china for our market....................it worked!!!!!!!!!!

and the prices sure have shot up on all them SKS rifles...especially the "paratrooper".......

Revisiting this thread is making me want to go check out the AKS and SKS' on gunbroker.
