I'm a huge fan of the M14. Anyone else?

...trained in boot camp with one...then in ITR we got M16s...what a letdown...haven't been able to buy an M1A yet, but it's on the short list...my favorite high-caliber rifle ever and well worth the weight...PM sent

Have shot them, fondled them, and lovingly want one bad, but have never owned one. I breaks my heart everytime at work when I sell one!

Here is a picture of my rifle when it arrived back in April. I havent dont much to it, been saving for a JAE stock and this one will become "modern"

Would love to see what kind of upgrades people have done to their M14?

I work at Knob Creek Gun Range. We have close to 3000 guns in inventory. Probably have 10 (at the most) M1As.

Weight and bedding is going to be the big issue for me. I like the JAE but I think it is like 7lbs for the stock only. I’m waiting to hear back from Sage to see what they weigh.

...military wood stocks were just oiled, weren't they??? that'n looks great...better'n the fiberglass one we trained with in 69...how'd you get a true M14??? I'd buy an old one before I'd buy an M1A, if I could buy either...can still feel the bolt in my hand...only thing I've ever wanted on an M16 was the firing pin...they make a neat nailset...

Are the Divine M1A's worth getting? I've never shot one, and they always seem to cost more than they should.
