...wimmen do well with guns 'cause they haven't learned a bunch of wrong stuff...they just pick it up, point it , and shoot...especially with handguns...you've just taught your daughter half of what it takes never to be afraid at home...the other half is whento and whatif...then she can protect herself and her Mom from any and all...that Ruger with some hot LRHP (I use CCI Stingers) will repel boarders just fine...a 25-round steel lips magazine and she's good to go...

Thanks guys. A few more times with the 1022 then I will introduc her to the Walther P22.
My 14 y.o. son is already pretty good with it.
I'd like to get them all comfortable with them. They are at a good age and are pretty mature and responsible kids.

...excellent plan...I started my boys each at 8...didn't have anything but a .45---they can all outshoot the old man now!!!

All kids should be taught about guns and taught how to use them safely. Especially if they are kept in the house. Mine just turned 13 and he's been shooting for a couple of years. He shoots my Redhawk just fine.
