410 single shot

Picked one up the other day, rough but with a little care its a shooter now the bead was broke off but me and a buddy fixed that. And them a little clean up and she is good running order. She is an H&R Pardner gun well used and not much care for her but she is cared for now and in a nice warm home too.

Re: 410 single shot

My very first gun, many, many moons ago, was a H and R .410. They are good guns. Nothing flashy, but they do the job each and every time.

Re: 410 single shot

I almost got the kid one a while back, but figured I'd wait till he can handle the 12. Fun little gun, Snuffy!

Re: 410 single shot

Yea i was thinking the same thing men, I always wanted one when I was a kid but no had to be a 12 ga that is bacause my brother inlaw reloaded 12. Of course it would almost pay to reload the 410 with the cost of them these days. Powder and shot wouldn't be that much. Any you can almost always find a 12 or 20 ga press at yard sales but never have I seen a 410 rig for sale.

Re: 410 single shot

amazing sometimes how some of the simplist and least expensive guns just fill a notch and get the job done better or more conviently than a more powerful/expensive one......

i really like single shots......

Re: 410 single shot

I'd like a 410 single, though I bought one but the box was mismarked and was a 20ga but kept it anyway.

Re: 410 single shot

well was going to start to set for reloading the 410 3 inch, but after putting a pen to paper. Think I'll just wait and just how much shooting I do with this little shtogun. I want to use the 3 inch in the gun to be able to get the max range and power out of the gun. I got a friend that hunts or use to hunt with nothing but a 410. I'll check with him and see what he says is the better round to hnt with.
