Gotta admit, I am not a shotgun guy. Just aint that good with one. But, had a hankering to shoot some clays today. Now, when I shoot clays, I got to mount my thrower on a table, and launch my own birds, with the shotgun in my other hand, mount the shotgun, and then get on the bird and shoot. I only missed 2 out of 50 today, which is pretty dang good for me! Of course, all these birds are going away shots. If they where the cross-shots, I probably couldn't have hit one! But, as I said, I got to launch em myself, so those are the only ones I can do.

Sounds fun. I am looking forward to buying my first shotgun later this year. I have enjoyed myself immensely every single time I have shot one. Clay are particularly fun.

...fellas, in my entire life, t he only thing I've ever shot out of the air was a stinkbird...a little wild bird the size of a sparrow...and I was shooting my uncle's 10 ga. rabbit-eared 32" barrelled shotgun with #2 goose in it just to feel the kick...it did...I gotta be the slowest in the herd...never got a shot on a covey rise...never got a shot at a dove...if it ain't got it's feet planted on the ground, it's safe from me!!!
