1883 Remington

yes I have one on lay away as I type this post, it gets better it was sawed off by I guess the owner or gunsmith. Has hammer boy are they tight I bet they just need a little work and they will loosen up, but its marked on the inside of the fore arm A&T S/F So it was used by the rail road. Atchison Topeka & Santa Fa railroad. There is no bead front sight and the shop owner said we can put one on it but heck I want it just like it is. I'll be using it in my cowboy shooting, I think hammer will loosing up as the bluing is still no the firing pins lol. I doubt it was shot much, I have a feeling thing will change in thqat department lol.

Re: 1883 Remington

Well its all steel too, so i can shot regular shells out ofnot high brass but theshells I shoot the remington nitro 27's will work just fine in it. The hammers are real stiff you cock but I am thinking that with some working them they might ease up a good bit. At least it worked that way for me on my TTN.

If a barrel has been cut down on a gun you always have to suspect Shawn.

Re: 1883 Remington

I agree the people thathad her before sure didn't know what they had or how to care for the old gal. But she has a good home now wit a man that knows how to work her and not work her hard but also how to take good care of her. I think she should be called Sweet Lady
