I've seen one other Winchester and one Marlin...there weren't many made....

I've never been a fan of expensive shotguns. They are nice to look at, but I'm happy with my Mossy. $165 OTD is a # that makes me happy. |

...I put $20 on a $75.00 shotgun today...a Winchester 37A 20 ga. with a heavy wood forearm and stock...a single shot...cut to 18 1/2"...first single shot I ever wanted in my life...heavy and strong...not like the Stevens or other cheaper ones...sold for 150+ on the net...but cutting the barrel killed that...great gun to hang inside the garage door...auto-ejects fired shell...it'll be a good grab...

...probably keep buckshot in it...there're more pit bulls here lately...yesterday, my work bud (67) heard a dog growling and stepped outa his garage with a .45SA...a lady in her 50s was trying to hold a big brown pit back...he was growling and barking at a 8-year-old on a bike...my friend told her..."Lady, if you don't control him, I will...that's one of my boys!!!" She was able to drag the dog back away from the yard and go the loooooooooooong way around...this time...it takes a strong person to hold an aggressive pit...

Any dog has the potential to cause harm. Dogs should always be under control. That's why we have leash laws. I thought I was going to have to shoot some guys dog right in front him a few weeks ago. Seems he was too busy to keep it from picking a fight with my leashed dog. |

...when I take my dog in a public place, it's my responsibility to curb it...if I don't...I've got nothing to say to someone who does ...that's the way it is...but, often, not the way it plays out...

...yeah, I missed out on the .410 levergun also...didn't want to up th' five bills or so at the time! Not one of my brighter decisions!! Understand 'bout what big dogs can do...worked K-9 fer five years or so. Not, repeat not, to be taken lightly. |

I never take a large dog lightly. I won't stand for dogs picking fights with my leashed up dog or acting in a threatening way towards myself or family. The owner was only a few feet away. He ignored the situation until I got to yelling at his dog. |

...some people aren't responsible enough to have children, much less dogs...
