problem with mod 12

After all the work cleaning her up andnew recoil pad, she dumps out the shells from the mag tube. This suppose to be my travel shotgun, staying away from home in motels. But this is not going to work for me if I need her and she dumps her load at the first sign of danger. I am sure this can be fixed, I really hope so got a case of shells.

...Snuffer, don't look at it as dumpin' her load...look at it as she's eager to give you all she's got... ...sounds like the little tabs that hold the shells in the mag tube may be gunked up...or lost their springy...should be one on each side, if I remember...they catch the edge of the brass head...maybe cleaning them....or replacing them...

Snuffy, that is one of the few poor design aspects of the model 12. Make sure you put the last shell in WELL PAST the magazine catch or they will spring out like that. If it will hold one shell in the mag, than the catch is not wore. It just takes a little practice to speed load a model 12's mag tube as they can be kind of finicky.
