In the Houston-Harris County area, one or more of the Carter's Country stores usually has "BB" shot (lead!) in stock. I bought my last box from them, as I also keep that load around for the same reason.

...bird shot or squirrel shot is not reliable for self defense...you don't want to mess them up...you want to stop them immediately...I highly recommend that you re-think using 7 1/2 for anything bigger than a cat...and then not a bobcat~~~
