Trouble I am running low these days and can't seem to find them any more. I have 1/2 a box of Remington left would like to get some more. Anyone know where I can get them? Thanks for your help. |

I think he's looking for BB size shot shells and not reloading. I didn't see any at my local. I got some #4 buck shot. Haven't tried it yet though.

size "BB" lead shotshells are a seasonal thing around here with crane hunters.....occasionally Academy Sports will have it. Few regularly carry it because it gets confused with steel shot for the waterfowl crowd. You might have to get your local gun shop to order you in a cpl of boxes on their next regular stocking order.......that would probably be easiest.... |

I would think #4 Buck would make a good home defence load with both volume and decent size.

...I use slugs first for home defense...if they're holding a hostage...I want a single projectile...the last two in the tube are 00...figuring threat would probably be outside by then...you never know...I don't want to be holding a shiny stick that I'm afraid to use for fear of hitting a friendly being used as a shield... ...#4 is a great anti-personnel load...kinda like a garbage disposal...I believe it's like 27 pellets... |

The $4 buck I have is 3.5" Magnum loads with 54 pellets. I bought them for coyote hunting but haven't gotten a chance to even pattern them. I have my home defense shot gun loaded with #7.5 lead shot. It's small shot, but it will mess someone up.
