Don't remember ever having a poll on anything here, and I am bored to death, so thought I would come up with this un. Now, it aint fair from the start, as anyone that knows anything about single actions knows that Freedom Arms makes the finest production revolver ever made, period. As a matter of fact, I would rate them right up with the finest revolver-smiths work, right out of the box. However, most of us have not ever got to hold one, let alone shoot one. So, as they are way out of my price league, I am asking who makes the best one for the money. To me, there can be only one answer. RUGER! (I know at least one member here who will not agree with that one!) |

I'm going with the Ruger but only the Original Vaqueros, Blackhawks and single sixes, if I want light I'd choose Uberti.

I went with Ruger, go figure. My three screws are the best, have one New Vaquero and five small frame Blackhawk’s with out any problems as of yet. The rest are new modal Blackhawk’s from 4 5/8” to 10 ˝”.

Ruger!! I want a 5.5" SS Vaquero so bad. I don't even know why. I guess because I've been watching a western TV series. |

I have a New Vaquero, Single-six 22/22mag, and Bearcat. I like them all. Ruger is hard to beat for the price.
