New Vaquero

Made a trade Saturday. Shotgun for a New Vaquero in 357 Mag. Took it to
the range Sunday along with my older Vaquero 45C. The 45 is shooting much better since I reamed the throats. No leading at all.
The new one has a great trigger pull out of the box. Both are polished SS models. I did find a couple of quality things on the new one. Grip frame appears to be off to one side by just enough that you can feel it with your
finger nail The other thing is on the bottom of the grip frame , a little place about 1/4 inch long next to the left grip panel was not completly filled out
when cast . Probably only .005 but when you first see it .looks like a chip out of the grip panel. Doesn't bother the shoooting at all.
The Bl. plastic grips with the sharp file finish have to go. And since all of my other Rugers are big boys those grips wont fit. Need to order woodies real quick.

Guys- Let me tell ya- Jim (41magnum) makes a heck of a nice grip. I just commissioned a set for my small framed 44spl and they are SWEET!. I didn't like the skinny black plastic grips on that one so wanted something classy and that felt good in the hand. I highly recommend the man, he is a great guy and takes pride in his work.
This here is what he made for me-
