New gun

I just got this from Gun Auction today .... Fit and finish is perfect like my other Cimarron's . It is a shame Ruger don't spend a little more time on there guns and do them right . The extra cost can't be that much more to shooter . Here is a video on how Uberti makes guns .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYOJa8ZNxmE

nice looking weapon....

and an interesting video. Sure wish ruger would eye-ball a bit better when installing barrels for sight alignment.

i have no experience with the italian guns. most of what i've read indicates the steel is sort of "soft".....at least on the BP revolvers.

just wondering if their centerfires are of "harder" stuff......

Anything made by Uberti/Cimarron are the best steel money can buy . Way better then the early Colts . Remember Colt SA parts and guns were all made by Uberti at one time . I think they still make the parts and Colt assemble them here . I shot a Uberti 1858 Remy in USIMLC matches for years , about 10,000 rounds without any noticeable wear and only1 main spring breakage that I had modified . There is a couple of other companies that don't come up to Uberti standards .

The rifles hold up better and the China made coach gun is still tic-ing. Rugers are about the only ones that will hold up to heavy use well unless I get them that is lol.
