Got to shoot the range officer's BFR (biggest, finest, revolver) in 45/70 today. We where actually hitting targets at 350 yards, open sights with that gun! I still don't think it hurt anywhere as near as the T/C Encore in .308 Win I used to have, but it has one helluva wallup none the less.

My local has one of them. It's huge! I think they're kind of cool, but ugly as hell. I wouldn't buy one, but I'd like to shoot one, just to say I did.

never got to shoot a BFR............and if its anything like a 45-70 t/c 14" contender in recoil, still, i can see wanting to shoot one...........sort of like a scab on your arm.........you know you shouldn't pick at it, you know it will hurt a bit....but ya just can't help it!!! |

I haven't shot one, but a friend of mine has one, and he shot my SRH in .454, and he said that mine seems to have quite a bit more recoil than his. Neat looking guns for sure.
