Just bought a "used" 44 mag Vaquero, original box, all paperwork, made in 2007. $345 plus tax. I am pleased. I could find no evidence that it had ever been shot. Shoots great. |

I like the original Vaqueros too. I had a set of 45's and they were great shooters. Congrats on the find! |

barrel is 4 and5/8th. Has the fake case hardened frame, but it looks good. Thank you everyone for responding to my "brag." CS: I am sure that if you had no guns all of us would make sure you had one, at least. God bless. |

Was lookin' at Ruger single-actions today at a local shop having quite a selection to "brouse"...there were some good deals to be had, but no "steals!" like yours! Excellent sixshooter at a REALLY good price!!!! |

Congrats on a good price and a nice gun. I'll have to admit I've never had a Vaquero. I started out with Blackhawks and always preferred the adjustable sights. Now that I'm 'older' and don't have the eagle eyes I once did, the Vaquero is a viable choice. I never liked the 'case coloring', not because of the multi-coloring, but because of the fake look over actual case hardening. And the fact it comes off if you rub too hard. I think I'll start keeping my eyes open for one in the 45c flavor. I do acknowledge the need to be a more well rounded person, other than having to change my belt size again. Good pick-up on a very nice gun there zippo!

I've got a few single action Rugers. I've never had any of the color case harding come off from rubbing, however. What is there not to like about a Vaquero? Fact is, I've never met a Ruger single action I didn't like.
