That's a sweet 1911. Is it a Springfield?

It's a Kimber Crimson Carry. It's full size but with an alloy frame. It comes with Crimson Trace Lasergrips and I added night sights. It's the most expensive gun I ever bought but by the time I added Lasergrips to a cheaper gun it would have come close and I have wanted a nicely set up 1911 for a loooooonnnnnng time. A Springfield would have been fine as well. They both seem excellent and both run a grand or more for a nicely set up gun. I would be OK with this as my only gun if I HAD to settle for one. It's better suited for open carry though. At least on me it would be hard to conceal except under a heavy outer coat. |

Yes they are hard to conceal. I could do it here in the winter if I didn't have to remove my jacket. But in the summer I'd never be able to get away with it.

With the right holster I can hide the Sig or the Officer Model under a tee shirt and a work shirt I wear as a light jacket. The full size would be harder.

Well it would be 9MM because I have a lot of it stored up. The gun would be a Glock 19 because they are nearly indestructible and super reliable. My caliber choice is because of two reasons. 9MM is/was cheap and it's about the most recoil I can stand. I have a serious elbow problem that limits the amount of recoil I can tolerate. Had to have surgery on it a few months ago and am just now getting to where I can shoot a .22 again. |

Well I hope you heal up fast and well. The 9mm round is a pretty good round. It sure beats throwing rocks. |

Oh yea bountyhunter, it's healing nicely. Yea 9mm is better than thrown rocks, especially rocks I can throw. |

For hunting my 44-40 Vaquero with level 3 loads , which exceeds the 44 mag . The 357 max I think it will replace the 44-40 because it is a flat shooter ![]() ![]() |

...Taurus 9mm, how much did he pay you to revive this thread so he could post a bunch of pictures???? Between tn gun runner and Johnny Wacko...they could arm a small militia...and there's one quiet one here who could arm another!!! I'd love to have about 50 myself someday...but it don't look too likely |
