I figured he'd hit him 10 times. Just once was enough in this case though. You know if it were one of us who shot someone running away, we'd be tried for murder. It would be our duty as well to make sure this fool didn't get away and harm or kill someone else, imo. I know it wouldn't be the opinion of the court though. |

...we're back to "come to Texas" again...home free on several accounts...self defense, citizen's arrest on dangerous violent felony, and Castle Doctrine...he was bought and paid for in a "SNAP", so to speak!!! In some states, the citizens have LESS restrictions on shooting than the police do...we have no "continuum of force" crap to deal with...

Most states, civilians have wider lattitude in use of deadly force. Some states have weird common law doctrines that may require "retreat" if possible.
