My standard piece is limited in effective range (by my ability to hit with it, not the gun) so I do carry something better in the car. In any case I take extra ammo. I would not go with a long gun unless there was special reason to. If weather was such that I was wearing something more versatile like a K frame or a Sig then I might go more for a smaller backup gun, but still extra ammo. |

I have two P97s that I take with me, one on my person and one that is very easy to get at in the Jeep. Extra ammo comes in three magazines for each gun, then there is my nightstand gun (Bulldog) with the laser and 17 rounds packed in with my stuff. |

...out of town it's usually a P90 and all my clips...and a bag of loose...I have about 21 clips...and a spare handgun...shotgun behind the seat with a bag of shells...been stayin' close to home this summer, though...no reason to travel...most powerful weapon on the road is our awareness level...seems to kick in in unfamiliar territory...does that mean we've gotten lax and careless around home? Hmmm......

Always CCW plus a backup in a cary bag by the seat and the Ranch Rifle in the back. Camping / Hunting add a couple 22s, assorted rifles (45, 7mm mag & 45/70) and my 5" 629, gotta have my Thompson Contender in 410ga for grouse! My brother usually has more the me, in case we need to repell boarders ya know! |

Alway the JC Pennies high standard then there is the cowboy guns. Not to mention The Hi Power and at least 2 45 autos. Think I got the bases cover for the most part unless I need desert then there is the carbon 15 just for good measure you understand. If I have to go I am not going to make it easy on any one. The reason someone carries anything at al is because they value their life. Since its my life I put the highest price tag on my life I can get. Not saying I can't be taken just want it to cost a lot much more than any one wants to pay. Shall we say I am not cheap. |
