I've never had any trouble with it, but have heard a lot of other folks complain about it.
If I do start having trouble with it, I'll just use it in my revolvers.

Thanks. That answers my question. I don't have any experience with it. I got an email from Midway saying they had it in stock. I would rather get CCI mini mag or Winchester Super X.

I have put a lot of Thunderbolt down-range without an issue. Since I am just a plinker with my .22's I am probably the last person to ask if you are looking for match grade stuff. I do use it in my 10/22 and single action Rugers. When we have our fun shoots at the range I use whatever happens to be handy but the Thunderbolt tends to be what most folks use around my area. Lately we have been shooting whatever we can find.

I've shot thousands of rounds of TB's. We buy a variety of 22LR for different firearms, but use the TB's just for plinking. I've never had issues to speak of. They aren't Match ammo though.

I have a few boxes of them from a batch I bought a long time ago. I had a few that seemed to have a light charge less pop than the rest. I shoot them mostly in a Henry Mare's Leg and my revolver. But for the price I can't complain.

TBs gives me leading problems, long needle-like slivers come out in cleaning. Nothing major, but Federal doesn't do it. They sound inconsistent, and accuracy isn't great. Not worth the $34 I see it for local, not with Federal bulk and bricks being $6-7 less.

It is the gun not the ammo giving you a leading problem .

I have shot tens of thousands of them in my Henry golden boy. I like it they come in 2500 pails 1 pail lasts all day long.
I never new it was cheap ammo my grouping are all tight. I would think cheap ammo would be all over the target some with light loads. I'm just asking I don't know.

They work fine in rifles and revolvers but I have had well over 100 fail to fire or did not have enough umph to cycle the slide on my Hi-standard and Ruger semi-autos. I quit buying the and only use CCI mini mags in the semi-autos now.

Like many of the other posters, I have never had a problem with TBs firing and functioning my .22s. The only problem I have encountered is that they are very dirty and leave a lot of gunk and residue in the firearm. They are not precise enough to fire in a match but they would be fine for hunting small game.

I don't know on that. Other ammo just gives an occaisional speck of lead in all of the same guns.

thunderbolt ammo

Garbage! At least in my firearms. I don't know what has happened at Remington lately, but in my estimation, they have not made a rimfire round worth a plug nickel for years now.
Just my opinion, but give me anything but Remington.
I can however, remember when most of the Remington rimfire stuff was pretty good ammo.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I do remember, back in the day, when Remington was about as good as it got. We still shoot it, mostly the Goldens and while it does, okay, not something I use for serious target work.

Thunder Bolt is cheap ammo and NOT target ammo . I got 10,000 rds back in about 1993 at $.88 a box and have shot it over 10 different guns with no problems . Now if you want good ammo buy Eley at 3X the price , but it is great for target work . I got 10,000 rds of Super X HP many moons at $.99 a box at Target when Dealer cost was $1.25 a box plus shipping . I used it for hunting and long range target stuff .

If you get leading in a revolver it is the gun . Normally not the ammo .
