I saw it posted on another forum a couple weeks ago. It looks like it's being manufactured by Winchester.

I think it's another gun manufacturer branded line of ammo. I'm seeing this trend, lately. Sig now markets its own line of ammo, as does Ruger, maybe some others. Have shot the Sig branded ammo and it shoots well in our 1911s, but not sure it would shoot any better or worse than other ammo in a Sig. At this point, I think it's more marketing than ammo specifically tailored to a line of guns. Just my two cents.

Cuyler, thanks for the info. I like Winchester brass for my reloading, but am not a fan of their .22LR ammo.

I do like their .17HMR 17 grain Varmint ammo though.

If you like Win. 22LR, it is not too bad of a price at under 6 CPR. Those are 400 round boxes & if you get 4, shipping is free.

I agree. I got very good prices on Sig's .380 acp SD ammo at $10.99 a box/20 around Xmas & it tested very well in my milk jug test (very scientific) with good expansion.

BPR likely Winchester

I got a box of BPR this morning, 400 rounds for $ 24.99 (and tax). At Sportsman's Warehouse. They got in a grand total of 6 boxes. A smidge over 6 cents per round.

Box gives some ballistics for rifle and handgun. 1255 fps at muzzle for rifle, 1060 fps for 6 inch handgun. Muzzle energy is 140 rifle, 100 handgun. Bullet has a dark gray coating, box says "black oxide". Three dimpled cannelures (lube grooves), and the bullet shape, match Winchester. Might as well have labeled the box "Winchester 400". Hopefully being a "new product", the QC is better. I'll find out if weather ever cooperates. Sixties and 70s over next ten days, but rainy weekend.

At least they aren't Remington. Sportsman's got those in this morning, too. One case each of Thunderduds, $ 32.99; and their 14K Bullets, $ 36.99.

I saw my first box of Sig ammo advertised today. My immediate thought was a marketing ploy. Marketing was my major in college. I can smell a rat a mile away.

I thought we'd chatted about browning ammo before. Figured out how to use the sites search engine finally!

Sportsman's had more this morning, so I got a second box. There are several articles online that confirm it's Winchester. I don't usually like Winchester a whole lot, but they claim this is "Premium" , so we'll see.
