Must be over now price wise

My LGS has always told me if all the 22 lr he has on order ever came in he would need to rent another building. Well I was in there yesterday and he was joking about renting another building. The mother load of 22 lr ammo has showed up.
He had boxes of 100 for $3.30 with no limit. I said how many can I buy he said how big is your truck. I asked for bigger boxes he gets me a brick and had pail also.
So my question is he a luck gun shop owner on this day or is the 22lr drought over everywhere.

If it was Remington's he got, it would make sense to me. I've seen a whole lot of Remington's available in the last few days. Actually a "Bucket of Bullets" just showed up here. My neighbor has been asking me to get him some for a couple of years now and I was able to get some on my second alert notice. (I'm a CCI fan myself, lol).

It's not over, up here, not even close. Then, too, when we do find some 22 LR, it's usually the cheap bulk stuff. Haven't seen a box of Mini Mags for sale on the shelf, around here, for almost four years. Not talking about local gun shops, only, either. We have a Wally World, too. It's actually our least reliable source of 22 ammo.

Here I'm seeing a FAIRLY steady amount of pricey match ammo. Still just an occaisional trickle of anything else.

That one thing that caught my eye it wasn't just one brand. They have Eley , Remington, winchester, federals, and they had the most of Aguila which I have never heard of.
But for 2 cents each I had to buy a few boxes.
I don't need any but what do ya do.
We have a foot of snow on the ground not going shooting for awhile by then he might be out

Sounds good. Unbelievable prices.

I believe Aguila is made in Mexico.

Some of the Aquila target ammo shoots very well in our CZs. In fact, all Aquila stuff shoots well for us.

I found Federal Auto Match on the shelf in Bass Pro yesterday. Also had CCI shorts and some Eley match. I was surprised to see anything on the shelf there especially shorts. I haven't seen them anywhere for over two years. They had a 500 round total limit so I grabbed a box of Auto Match and one slide of shorts. I should go back to see if they have more shorts.
Capella's has had more stock than most big box stores around here.

mcgee, Aquila has been good for me. Some folks say it is dirty but I can't tell much difference than any other brand of standard ammo.
My local range has had a good supply of different brands the last few times I have been in.

Aquila makes the best HV shorts I've seen and my Henrys love them, especially the Mare's Leg. Offhand at 10 yards they are a great. Got two raccoons that way a couple years ago.

I have not seen much low priced .22lr around here. It's higher priced than it was a year ago & I'm glad I stocked up.

I'm frustrated by how much Federal ammo I'm not seeing. Frequent dabs of Auto Match, but no other Federal except back around Christmas. I got six Value Packs and a brick of Champion 510. None since, lots of Federal centerfire, though.

I was in Ohio last week and they always have more ammo on the shelves for rim fires than Pa. or Md. They even had a good amount of 22 Magnum. It is on the shelf about every time I visit my friend in Ohio. I even saw 17 Mach2 on the shelf in a big store called something about fins and fur. I can't remember the name off hand. From what I see when out shopping around the big stores like Dick's and Field and Stream and that "fins" whatever in Ohio get so much ammo the little guy is left out.
