I was just going through some Hornady 195 grain Match .300 Win Mag I bought Saturday and found one round with a rather deep imperfection in the case neck, so deep that I'm almost positive it'll develop into a split case neck when fired.
Check your ammo folks, for the price we're all paying for the high end stuff, you can never be too careful

You are right USM, One guy shooting a 44 magnum found a little too late that he had defective ammo from the manufacturer. Two rounds on one box had defective shell casings. One split after firing which left the round wedged in the forcing cone and half in the cylinder. That was no fun to get out. The second round was discovered after inspection of all rounds in that box.
